First Alert Forecast: Spooky showers are possible this Halloween

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)—We are tracking moisture riding in along the trade winds this Halloween. Most showers will be focused on windward areas, but a few leeward sprinkles are possible.
If you are going trick-or-treating on the windward side, you may want to bring an umbrella just in case you get caught in a downpour. It should also be breezy this evening, but winds will weaken as the sun sets.
The trades are set to weaken this weekend. The high pressure to the north of us will shift eastward, meaning we will see more easterly trades. Wind speeds will settle between 5-15 MPH.
A near-advisory level NW swell will approach this weekend. Energy will start to arrive Friday evening on exposed north and west-facing shores. Surf remains choppy on east-facing shores, but is on the decline.
